What the specifications actually mean.

TSER · Total Solar Energy Rejection

The share of total solar energy the film blocks. The best single indicator of heat performance — higher is better.

VLT · Visible Light Transmission

How much visible light passes through. Lower VLT means a darker film; higher VLT keeps the glass looking clear.

VLR · Visible Light Reflectance

How much light the film reflects off the surface. Affects exterior appearance and glare from outside.

UVR · Ultraviolet Rejection

Protection against UV radiation that fades interiors and damages skin. Every V-KOOL film delivers 99%.

SHGC · Solar Heat Gain Coefficient

Solar heat that enters through the glass, rated 0 to 1. A lower figure means a cooler cabin or room.

IRR · Infrared Rejection

Infrared radiation blocked — the part of sunlight felt as heat. Directly affects comfort inside.
